Open Call for Choreographers Based in Europe. Movement Art International Dance Festival 2026.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Contemporary dance works ranging from solo pieces to ensembles of up
to six performers.
• Duration: 30–65 minutes
• Open to professional choreographers based in Europe
• Technical requirements must be adaptable to the venue where the work will be presented.
The festival team will oversee the selection and placement of works to ensure that their technical requirements are accommodated as effectively as possible within the available spaces.

WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITIES (optional)
Choreographers are welcome to propose paid workshops for professionals or amateurs.
Workshops will take place on:
• Friday, October 23 in Trier, Germany
• Sunday, October 25 in Luxembourg City

How to apply / register:
Please send your complete application to:

Include the following materials:
- Title and short description of the piece (max 100 words)
- Choreographer’s bio (max 150 words)
- Full-length video (performance) + trailer
- Technical rider
- Number of performers involved
- 3–5 high-quality photos
- 1–2 portrait photos of the choreographer

For workshop proposals (optional):
- Short description (100 words)
- 3-5 photos
- Link to a short promotional video
Please also indicate in your email whether you are able to secure any external funding (travel, accommodation, per diems, etc.).

FEES & COVERAGE
This is a paid opportunity. The artist fee will be discussed individually with selected artists. The festival may also be able to cover per diem, travel, and accommodation.
Note: Applicants who can secure external funding for travel, accommodation, or per diems will be given priority consideration.

- Do not send video files directly, use links (YouTube, Vimeo, or other reliable platforms).
- Please do not use WeTransfer, as we may not be able to open the files before the download link expires.
Incomplete submissions or applications via social media will not be considered.
