We are delighted to announce the Open Call for the 2nd edition of the Movement Art International Dance Festival—a platform dedicated to contemporary dance and bold artistic expression. The world is fractured. Violence grows, walls rise, and communitieseverywhere struggle to hold on to connection. We live in a momentwhere trust feels fragile and humanity itself is under pressure. Andstill - we choose to move.The festival will take place across Luxembourg and Trier, Germany, from October 21 to 25, 2026, presenting outstanding international artworks and creating a space for exchange, creativity, and dialogue.We welcome proposals that reflect what matters most to you as an artist—your voice, your vision, your urgency.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Contemporary dance works ranging from solo pieces to ensembles of up
to six performers.
• Duration: 30–65 minutes
• Open to professional choreographers based in Europe
• Technical requirements must be adaptable to the venue where the work will be presented.
The festival team will oversee the selection and placement of works to ensure that their technical requirements are accommodated as effectively as possible within
the available spaces.

Choreographers are welcome to propose paid workshops for professionals or amateurs.

- Choreographer’s bio (max 150 words)
- Full-length video (performance) + trailer
- Technical rider
- Number of performers involved
- 3–5 high-quality photos
- 1–2 portrait photos of the choreographer
For workshop proposals (optional):
- Short description (100 words)
- 3-5 photos
- Link to a short promotional video
Please also indicate in your email whether you are able to secure any external funding (travel, accommodation, per diems, etc.).

FEES & COVERAGE
This is a paid opportunity. The artist fee will be discussed individually with selected artists. The festival may also be able to cover per diem, travel, and
accommodation.
Note: Applicants who can secure external funding for travel, accommodation, or per diems will be given priority consideration.
