"Wind in the Olive Grove" with Dancing to Connect at Zilkha Hall, Houston, USA.

See the culmination of one week of workshops between refugee and non-refugee youth as they perform new works that tell their stories. Performances also by Iraqi refugee Ali Al-Kaabi, and Battery Dance presenting the Houston premiere of its newest work "The Wind in the Olive Grove", choreographed by Syrian choreographer Saeed Hani.

 

Dancing to Connect℠ (DtC) is the award-winning arts education program developed by Battery Dance with funding from the Doris Duke Foundation.  The Dancing to Connect℠ (DtC) initiative engages participants in creativity and team building, using the art form of dance as a tool for building social cohesion and resolving conflict throughout the world.
